Yes, you read it right; there are many things that we Indian are proud off. One of these includes Bala Hanuman Temple in Jamnagar in India featured in Guinness Book of World Records twice for chanting “Shri Ram Jay Ram Jay Jay Ram” continuously for more than fifty years.
One
can find such temple in any village, town or city of the country in dozens. So,
you must be thinking, what’s special about this Temple which made it
possible to get in the Guinness Book of World Records? Let me
share with you the fact, why this temple had been marked and got entry into the world
records.
Actually, Bala Hanuman Temple is
situated at the Banks of Lakhota Jamnagar, and for more than 50 years the Akhand
Harinaam Sankirtan (Continuous Chanting) of Maha Vijay Mantra, “Shri Ram Jay Ram
Jay Jay Ram” is happening here 24/7 without stopping for even one minute.
I’m
not kidding guys, Chanting really continuous from day and night it is said that
on the morning of the 1st August 1964 chanting got started and
has been going on uninterrupted even now, Youngs have grown old, the world has
changed drastically in many ways, but the chanting goes on and on. Even
earthquakes, storm, rain, wars, nothing could interrupted this devotional
Tribute.
In
1963-64, Sri Prembhikshuji Maharaj established Shri Bala Hanuman Sankirtan
Mandir. The temple has become very popular as it has been recorded in Guinness
Book of World Record. This continuous chanting of Rama Dhun for 24 hours has
established not only Jamnagar, but 7 different cities including Jamnagar, Dwarka,
Rajkot, Porbandar, Mahuva, Junagadh, and Muzaffarpur in Bihar the Rama Dhun is
chanted and has been started in the name of Shri Prembhikshuji Maharaj.
In 1964 on 1st August at
Jamnagar, then after in 1967 on 12th May at Dwarka, in the same year i.e., 1967 on 20th May at
Porbandar, in 1984 on 22nd April at Rajkot in 1997 on 20th April at
Mahuva and in 1996 on 15th August at Junagadh Akhand Rama Dhun were started.
It has been
built on South-Eastern Portion of Ranmal Lake also known as Lakhota Lake
and makes the temple overwhelming.
Shri
Prembhikshuji was born in 1812 in Chhatauni, a small village in Bihar in a
farmer family. He was the great devotee of Shri Rama. He followed the guidance
of his guruji Shri Kashmiribaba who was also the great saint. He started his
journey of Rama Dhun from Bihar went to Dwarka. His devotional life started and
ended at Dwarka.
